Ektimo

Daniel Balaam has been a long term team member within the Ektimo group. He began his career at EML Air as a Lab Technician and is now a Senior Lab Chemist at Ektimo.

His aspirations are to learn and grow new skills as the laboratory broadens its scope and capability. His goals are to improve his skill set with new achievements and skills. Completing his Bachelor of Science (Biology) degree was his most rewarding achievement. Daniel was the first ‘Balaam’ to complete an University degree. Secondly, achieving his new role as Senior Chemist. A role where Daniel can use his experience to help and give his knowledge to others.

Daniel’s nickname is Black Betty, from the Spiderbait song; “Whoa, Black Betty (Bam-ba-Lam)”! It’s a play on words, “Dan-ba-Lam”.

His favourite book to this present day is the Ender’s Verse, a collection from Ender’s Game by Scott Card. Many hours of audio books made his commute to work quite pleasant.
