Alex has been in his role as an Environmental Testing Report Writer with Ektimo for 10 years since moving back to Australia after living in Tokyo for a couple of years. Remarkably picking up close to zero in the way of the Japanese language he can still at least get by in a conversation centered around chicken related food products.
Having worked on thousands of reports spanning industries from gold mines to power stations and everything in between, Alex has spent more time with Microsoft Excel than his own wife over the last ten years but still thoroughly enjoys the challenge each day throws at him.
Alex enjoys the day to day collaboration between the various team members involved in the process, from the initial testing to the laboratory analysis to the client who receives the end product. He takes pride in being part of producing a superior product that can be easily interpreted by the client and used as a valuable piece of information. Alex believes each report is truly a group effort where each link in the chain is as important as the next, a true reflection of the phrase “the whole being greater than the sum of its parts”.
In the office Alex has been known to attend to his rainforest comprising mostly of Monsteras as well as a fish tank with no fish in it, which is a story for another day.
